Recycling

Please recycle correctly.  If you are going to the trouble of separating your trash from recyclables then you must put them in the yellow or blue bin correctly.  NO PLASTIC BAGS GO IN EITHER BIN AT ALL- NEVER. 

The yellow bin is for newspaper, mail, magazines and cardboard ONLY.  Collapse the cardboard flat. DO NOT PUT THOSE ITEMS IN A PLASTIC BAG AND THEN DROP THE BAG IN THE BIN. EMPTY THE PLASTIC BAG AND THROW IT AWAY IN THE DUMPSTER. FOOD CONTAINERS, STYROFOAM OR TISSUES AND PAPER TOWELS ARE NOT RECYCLABLE.

The blue bin is for glass, plastic and metal containers only, rinse them out.  If you collect these in your unit in a plastic bag, don't put the plastic bag in the blue bin.  FOOD CONTAINERS, STYROFOAM OR TISSUES AND PAPER TOWELS ARE NOT RECYCLABLE. NO CORKS, STYROFOAM, A/C FILTERS OR OTHER TRASH IS ACCEPTABLE IN THE BLUE BIN.

Recycle day is Thursday.

Trash

Please for the sake of everyone in your building, use plastic bags for food or animal waste.  Tie them tightly to prevent spills in the dumpster and odors as the trash heats up.  Double bag if you can, especially adult diapers and other things like food that is already rotten.

 If you are using the trash chute on the second and third floors, it is extremely important that you double bag, closing it completely and tie a knot in it and make it small enough to travel down the chute.  When a bag spills or rips open, food spills into the chute and draws insects and creates rotten food smells.

Dumpster Trash days are Tuesday and Friday.

Bulk Pick-up

DO NOT SET ANY LARGE ITEMS, MATTRESSES, BOX SPRINGS, FURNITURE ETC. OUT BY THE TRASH ROOMS OR THE CURB TO BE REMOVED.  IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO GET RID OF LARGE ITEMS OR ARRANGE FOR A BULK PICK UP.  YOU MUST ARRANGE TO GET THE ITEMS TO THE CURB ON THE APPROPRIATE DAY FOR PICK UP NOT BEFORE.  CALL City of Palm Beach Gardens 561-804-7000.  Arrange for a pick up for your address. This bulk pick up is for 1 or 2 large items, like a mattress or chair, it is NOT for a whole room or condo full of stuff.  Items go out to the curb AFTER 7PM the night before the pick up day.   Call the City of PBG early in the week as the truck fills up.
